Peer Review Process

For publishing in EOGE, a manuscript should meet the following general criteria:

  • Providing importance issues to scientists in EOGE,
  • Providing a new/novel methodology in EOGE,
  • Providing strong results for its conclusions.

To ease the process of reviewing for both authors and peer-reviewers, all submitted manuscripts are read by an associate editorial member and only those manuscripts that seem probably to fit our editorial criteria (i.e. passing plagiarism checks with the Plag Scan software as well as meeting EOGE's scientific requirements) will be sent reviewed, typically by two or three reviewers  in a double blind peer review process. Afterwards, the editors make a decision based on the reviewers' advice. Those manuscripts judged by an associate editorial member to be of either inappropriate or insufficient in our general criteria mentioned above will be rejected without formal review.
